Using Technology in my 3rd grade class.
Well, I am pleasantly surprised with the outcome of my learning from this class. I honestly thought at the beginning that I just could not do it. I even considered dropping the course for now because I was so technology illiterate. However, I decided this is something I need to further my success in teaching and something that my students can benefit from. I am so happy that I stuck with it. I have learned a great deal about how to incorporate very important technology into my classroom. My students have been so excited to see what they are going to get to do next. I think that technology has a great future on education and will continue to impact the way we teach as long as we are educators. I have joined the "new times" and although I still have many things to master, I think I am doing a lot better than I was before this class.

Podcasting in Special Education
While in the class I have learned how to make a podcast, I had a theory that I would use this in order to teach my students appropriate social interaction. It worked so well with my students, but what I under-estimated was the impact that it would have on the peer tutors that work in my classroom. These students do not have technology like this put into place in their classroom. All student truly enjoyed working with the program. I have seen a slight increase (normal progression) in the social skills of my students throughout implementing this program. I consider myself lucky to have discovered a way that is wonderful for ALL students to learn.
