Podcasting

Podcasting was something I had never done before. When I saw the assignment, I thought it was something that could be used in a high school/college setting. After I spent some time on Mr. Coley's site, I was able to see all kinds of possibilities. Podcasting is a tool I will definatily use in my classroom.

    Mr.Watkins please notify me when you utilize this in your classroom. I would like to see how it is used in a primary grade

      Jeryn, I think my first use for podcast will be will a fresh read. I'll have students record themselves and listen for fluency. They can even record mistakes on a running record. Mine are fourth graders. Do you think this would be feasible for second?

    I am excited about this too. I think that this is very basic and my students would be able to easily create their own podcast. They might need some help with the editing process but the possibilities are endless.
