I was so exited when I read this chapter of the book. I do two units in my sixth grade class. One is on analyzing a photo from the early nineteen hundreds of a child laborer. Students document the different work areas where children were utilized. The other area we study is The Great Depression. We also use photos to see the devastation that occurred. Students seem to respond to the pictures in a way that words can't express. I love this tool for these two units. This will definitely be something that I see as a resource for the spring curriculum.
