not very familiar with blogging!

I have read blogs, but this is a first time ever posting a blog. I have read other teacher's blogs about ideas in their classroom. It's a great way to communicate ideas and activities to use in a classroom. Teaching 3rd and 4th grade Reading and Language Arts, my students could benefit from blogging. I think it would be great to have my students blog about different stories we read. It would allow them to share their opinion about what they read. Some students are shy to speak out in class, so blogging would be a great idea for them to reflect on the story. Blogging could be a way to engage students because they are actively thinking as they blog. Teaching my students to blog would help students with real life skills and develop communication skills.
