Wow! It is hard to believe that just four shorts weeks ago,
I was scared to death and was simply trying to "hold my head above
water" with all the new technology in this class. I honestly thought I
would never get the hang of it, let alone come to LOVE IT! That's right, I do love it. I have gained so much knowledge and
experience while taking this class. I
have learned how to do my own screencasts, podcasts, blogs, webquests, and I am
proud to say, I have even learned how to successfully insert hyperlinks into my
power point presentations. I have created work that I am not only proud of, but
I also feel confident enough to take back to my class and incorporate these new
technology skills into my lessons. I am
truly excited to about school starting back next week and I can't wait to show
my students just what all this "old dog" now has in her bag of
"tricks". Thank you so very
much for your kind patience Dr. Rubin!
One of the absolute best parts of my journey was completing the webquest. I thoroughly enjoyed this process and the fact that I got to be creative with my work. I know it may sound crazy, but I totally get why my students are addicted to technology. Overall, I think that the hardest thing for me to conquer in this class was just my own personal fear of not having much technology savvy. What I learned was that in order to be able to truly understand something, you have to give it a try first.
