Technology in my classroom

How should technology be utilized in the classroom? Should we as teachers just give the student a computer and let them explore? Can we over-tech our students? I will begin to explore these arguments and many more through my EDUC573 course through Union College.

    I believe technology should supplement what the teacher is teaching but not replace the teacher. Technology is another great resource students have at their disposable to find info that we ask of them but we shouldn't just let them go. We need to give them a direction to go then let them explore the wonderful world of the web. Technology might be able to build almost build a car by itself but who designed that technology to do the job it does--a person!
