Aging

I can remember when computers was being introduced to schools and I was young and thought this is awesome. Now with all the new technologies coming out I am seeing myself becoming that older person scratching their heads thinking all of this is foreign. However, I am really seeing how our new technologies can help our students in the classroom.

  1. Yes it is a bit overwhelming when you spend a fair amount of time learning something and then a year or two later something new comes out & everyone is switching to the new thing. But that is the way education has been & is, not only with technology but in a lot of aspects (new state testing every 3 or 4 years, Common Core, etc). But I get what you are saying, I am 27 and am starting to feel like the old guy because of all of this new stuff being implemented into our schools.

    1. I agree with the technology, it seems like it has grown so rapidly it's hard to keep up with at times. Students are able to adapt because they are introduced to it a such an early age. My six year old tells me how to work the computer and her IPAD and talks about the apps that's on it and how they work. I'm like wow, that's bad I should be teaching her this stuff...lol.
