I found a website that I am planning to implement in my classroom next year. Because I have not intentionally taught any technology before I felt like I needed some guidance on getting started. I came across this sight in my search and it appealed to me because it is written for K-5. The sight includes an overview similar to a scope and sequence format. Lessons include activities for word processing, spreadsheets and graphing, powerpoint
presentations, graphic arts, multimedia, internet research and more. Another reason this sight seems helpful is the suggested pacing for the presentation of the skills. Because of the time of year I have not used the lesson plans, but certainly plan to use them next year.

Karen, it's always nice stumbling upon new technology to use in the classroom. I know I use numerous websites and software in my classroom and I still discover new things to use in my classroom every couple months. Search the internet, talk to colleagues, and read more blogs. A lot the tech that I find comes in handy and then some that doesn't. And some of it that you find makes life a lot easier in the classroom.
ReplyDeleteKaren, I look forward to using this site to make next year more engaging for my students. Technology is not my strong point but I'm working on it. I'm ready for helping students and parents even more using technology.
