Technology is changing the world of education regarding student participation and student learning.
Technology lets students access information that is beneficial to learning in a capacity that is the way they learn in this generation that is getting educated now. Technology has a downfall if all students do not have access to technology. At the school I work at we cannot access this blog or any other type of technology that would help students . I cannot access YOUTUBE for my room or any type of digital notebook for students to access.

EDUC 573

Technology is changing so much in the world of eduaction, that it makes me think about what they are coming up with next. I do know that while taking EDUC 573 I was able to learn about some new tools that would be beneficial in a classroom. With that being said these tools would allow all different types of learners to understand the concept of what is being taught. Not only that but using these tools will help the students relate to the real world setting as they prepare to get a job.

Hi my name is Mr. Johnson and I am a Special Education teacher for grades 9-12. In all my years of teaching the use of technology is expanding in every form around us. As we grow as teachers the world of technology is growing with us. I am just amazed at how it is implied in the education of the students and in the real world setting.

Assignments in 573

The assignments for this course have prepared me to be creative in lesson plan design for the future.  I do not currently teach in education, but I am a coach.  While coaching athletes I feel like I am educating them more so than actually coaching.  Everything in athletics is a learning process much like in the classroom.  I enjoyed the use of the web quest.  I believe it allows students to be able to do a project that involves research, organization, technology, creativity, cooperative learning, and leadership.  Blogging is also another resource to use for students in today's society due to the extreme use of technology and social media.  This course provides students with ideas for lesson plans to incorporate technology in the classroom.  This is so important because of the dependency of today's students on technology; now we can prepare them for their future and careers.

573 Introduction

Howdy, my name is Clint Helton.  Currently I am an assistant baseball coach at Maryville College in east Tennessee.  I spent the previous year as a graduate assistant baseball coach at Union.  In May of 2015 I will earn a Master's degree from Union in Education.  As an undergraduate my focus was on Physical Education and Health for licensure and Maryville College.  During my student teaching and work as a Special Education assistant I was able to use many sources of technology in the classroom.  No doubt this course has exposed me to many different resources that I can use now as a coach or if I decide to go back to teaching.

My time in EDUC 573

                     I really enjoyed this class though I have to admit that the podcast absolutely tore me up for whatever reason.  The blogging assignment was by far and away my favorite assignment that we did though there were a few others that I could do without major flaws.  I have started using two of these activities already.  Those being the power point and the web quest.  I would highly recommend this class to any educator who is interested in incorporating new technologies in their class rooms.
