Becoming Internet Savvy

EDUC 573 has really taught me a lot of useful information that I can use in the classroom. I will be leaving my classroom in January to go on maternity leave and this class has given me some great ideas! I was worried about how I could keep the content I taught fresh on my students' minds.

Podcasts and screencasts could be done at my home and sent to a sub in my classroom. I could create mini lessons before or during my leave to help guide the sub in the right direction for my students. This would also be a great way to keep in touch with my students in the classroom and at home through a blog.

    I love the idea of using podcasts and screencasts to send for a substitute to use. That is a great idea! I worry so much when I have to miss school and I am always asking for the best substitute we have. This is a great way to make sure that your students are being taught.
