Screencast
I am so glad I finally figured out why I did not have sound in my screencast. Turns out my computer was not recognizing the microphone I was using. I purchased a new one with a USB and it worked great. The sound quality was really good. I just wish you were not limited to 5 mins.of recording time through Jing.

Five minutes of recording time is very tough. I had to restructure my presentation and also write what I wanted to say in order to get everything complete in the five minute allotment. Twenty five times of practicing your recording also helps.
ReplyDeletewere you able to hear your recording before you sent it? I could hear myself perfectly but when I sent it, the sound wasn't there.... UGHHH!!!
ReplyDeleteThe sound quality was really good. After doing some research about the microphones. I realized that it was the quality of the mic I was using. I was using an old one that came with my computer. Several website I viewed recommend that mics with a USB connection was the best to use. The sound quailty is just simply better.
DeleteAfter working on the screencast last week, I tried to work on it Saturday, had trouble getting the program to download. Sunday I spent all afternoon trying to record the assignment. After 2 hours of attempts, I finally finished only to have trouble uploading the assignment. Wanted to SCREAM!!! I really didn't have trouble with the sound or program, just the computer downloading and uploading. Finally finished!! YEAH
ReplyDeleteI couldn't get Jing to upload on my computer at all. I am still struggling with it. My husband is trying to help me by downloading a software he uses at work. I'm hoping to get this thing finished soon! I feel all your pain!
